I can vouch for your Clutter Cure-All course! I bought it when you first offered it and am still working through it. At 3.5 months post partum a lot has been let go in the house, and I'm completely over the mess. I'm finally getting to the point where I can slowly tackle the clutter in bits and pieces. All of your advice in the course is spot on and extremely helpful. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs guidance or motivation to declutter their homes!

Crippling anxiety and depression with young children to care for - Clearly you just need a spa day 🤣 lol. Meanwhile I’m on antidepressants, anti anxiety medication, in trauma counselling, sleeping enough, exercising and eating well... but you know if I just had a spa day I’d be cured 🥴 I found you WOW!! Like almost 4 years ago? Can that be right? Just after having my twins and I was in ppd and ppa - getting rid of the clutter hasn’t changed my mental health diagnoses but it definitely helps me stay calm and help us get through the day smoothly

Ok Laura, you are speaking to my soul right now. I’m 3 minutes in and I have to start the video over and get this idea in my mind. I was crying during Drive In Worship Sunday thinking, “I’ve got to do better. I just have to.”

I appreciate your honesty. We've all been there, but not everyone admits it. Everyone else appears to be doing so much better and that just makes one feel worse. I'm five years in to my minimalism journey and there's still more to go, however, even small steps make me feel better.

Thank you so much for being a voice of reason and clarity all these years 💗 You are one of few things keeping me in one piece through it all - the PND, physical and mental struggles, diagnoses... You're a true inspiration: Thank you for being you 😘 xXx

Almost all of us have to much stuff. Stealing our life away and we are teaching our children to have to much, if we cut their toys down by 3/4 ths of what they have they could see and appreciate the 1/4 they had left. If we live by example, one thing in one thing out their minds would be clearer. Getting started when it's out of control and depression is high hard to almost impossible but like you said you waited till you felt a little better to start, bless you and your journey.

Recently I’ve been watching Hoarders on RUclips. Part of it makes me feel like I’m doing well and the other part makes me stop the video and go and declutter. I guess it’s helping me but it is also stressing me out.😥 It just shows how your mental state can really affect your home and of course the worse it gets the worse your state of mind gets. Really all you can do is start with baby steps and once you see change it pushes you farther. All I need to do is to get my husband and son on board.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

If you can declutter in a few weeks that’s ideal ... if you declutter slowly it’s ok .
I have found the stress is sooo much less . My home can be guest ready in an hour no matter what . Less stuff is Easier to clean
I slowly in 4 years have decluttered continuously but 75% was 4 years ago .
Offer things to friends / family
    Donate them
Don’t bother selling them .... it will take forever and things will still stay . I went daily to the good Will and Each time i felt so light and free
I also can find things in 2,minutes
Once you declutter..... everyday pick a drawer or area and take 30 seconds to maintain it

I need help in identifying the days of your decluttering, when you are doing them by days: I come across them randomly and not in order... I want to listen to them in order...is there a key word in the title?

Talk about not bringing clutter back into the home-
My hubby was going to CVS yesterday. I asked him if he could use our Bonus Bucks and get that pair of socks I liked. It would be free. He put his foot down and said, “no more socks!!!”
He is the one who does the laundry. He gave up trying to fit all the socks into the drawer. I gave him an empty shoe box and he put the freshly laundered socks in the box. The upside is that now I’m rotating my fun socks.

I've noticed that the round mirror is on the floor leaning against the wall in multiple rooms throughout the 30 day declutter. When ya gonna hang it somewhere? Or "let it go"?😉

    • @HowToGYST

Oh it’s there intentionally. I like it there. 🙂

@@HowToGYST 🤷‍♀️ Ok...saw it in different places so thought you weren't sure what you wanted to do with it. I watched all the 5 minute decluttering videos and plan to give them a try. But only 5 mins a day won't put a dent in our clutter! I assume the idea is that I won't stop after 5 mins. Anyway, loved your videos and sharing your time of depression and how you pushed through. Feeling hopeful...

    • @HowToGYST
      @HowToGYST  Год назад

If you can do more than 5 minutes, that's great. If not, it's still better than 0 minutes. 😉 Sometimes the hardest part is starting. The first 5 minutes get you over the hurdle.

Seems to me that you had to deal with some other people stuff... not only yours... perhaphs the hard part of decluttering is to respect others but not to be damaged by them...
